RSL NSW Members Elect New State Council

RSL NSW members have elected a new State Council to lead the organisation for the next three years.

Today the Chair of RSL NSW Caretaker Management Committee, Mr John Brien, announced at the Albury Entertainment Centre that Mr James Brown will be the RSL NSW State President. Mr Brown defeated three other candidates for the position.

“This is the start of rebuilding the RSL in NSW and we have a long road ahead of us” Mr Brien said.

“I am confident that after a short period of instability and public concern that the League in NSW is now in the best of hands to restore its image and reputation.

“The NSW Governor, General David Hurley, told Congress today that the RSL needs to focus on its core mission, of caring for veterans and their families, as well as serving ADF personnel. I am certain that all those elected to State Council will have this foremost in their minds."
